Role Overview

We are looking for a Software QA Engineer to join our new office in Damascus, Syria. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will design and execute test plans, ensure software quality through manual and automated testing, and work closely with developers to deliver high-performing applications.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about building reliable, secure, and scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical documents to provide timely feedback.
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform manual and automated testing, including regression, integration, and system testing.
• Identify, log, and track defects and issues until resolution.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using open-source tools.
• Conduct performance and security testing (a plus).
• Work closely with development and product teams to ensure software meets requirements.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to estimation, planning, and continuous improvement.
• Stay up to date with emerging testing tools, frameworks, and strategies.
