The OCC and Planning Officer supports the efficient coordination of daily airport and ground handling operations by managing resource and shift planning, monitoring aircraft movement and flight status, and ensuring timely communication across all operational units. The role acts as a central link within the Operations Control Centre (OCC), ensuring that staff, equipment, and facilities are optimally allocated to meet operational and safety requirements while maintaining smooth communication with airlines, ATC, and ground services.

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly resource plans for staff, vehicles, and equipment in alignment with the flight schedule and operational demands.
• Monitor real-time flight movements, delays, diversions, and disruptions, ensuring updates are accurately communicated to all relevant departments.
• Prepare and manage shift rosters to ensure adequate manpower coverage across all ground handling functions.
• Liaise with airlines, ATC, ground handling, and maintenance teams to ensure operational readiness and timely response to schedule changes.
• Track aircraft turnaround performance and coordinate corrective actions in the event of operational delays.
• Utilize OCC systems and dashboards to analyze resource utilization, productivity, and service delivery metrics.
• Support in incident and irregularity reporting, ensuring accurate data logging and follow-up actions.
• Maintain continuous communication with ramp, terminal, and cargo teams to ensure resource alignment with flight activity.
• Assist in contingency planning and disruption management, including re-rostering and resource redeployment during peak or irregular operations.
• Ensure compliance with Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS) standards in all operational plans and communications.
• Generate daily operations and resource performance reports for management review.
• Participate in regular briefings and debriefings to support continuous improvement in OCC coordination and planning.
