Position Objective:
To deliver OSP design knowledge, expertise, and quality assurance capabilities, as well as carry out required design activities as per the business needs for all OSP aspects, including civil and fibre works.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Review/examine the site survey report for civil and fibre infrastructure to validate the accuracy of the documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to confirm survey results, address any discrepancies and update inventory data as necessary.
- Develop civil and fiber-optic network designs using collected survey data, technical specifications, and engineering guidelines.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings in QGIS/ArcGIS or similar application, layout plans, and comprehensive documentation for civil and fiber installation projects.
- Ensure designs are compliant with relevant local and national codes and adhere to industry best practices.
- Generate and review the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for civil and fiber designs.
- Ensure the BOQ includes all required materials, labor, and equipment to reflect project scope accurately.
- Maintain clear documentation of design changes, survey validations, and updates for future reference and audits.
- Ensure that all designs, drawings, and documentation are submitted within specified timelines.
- Mark up As-Built redline drawings to capture any deviations or adjustments made during construction.
