Responsibilities
- Administrate infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes
- Manage user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
- Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases
- Monitor and maintain all network equipment and operating system and additional server components like Exchange, Active Directory, file server and other
- Create and verify backups of data
- Write basic technical documentation
- Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, laptops, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems as it pertains to Ethernet networks including adds or upgrades. Additionally, configure all peripheral devices such as printers, copiers, and related equipment
- Perform software installations and upgrades
- Perform account administration in Active Directory including adding, modifying and deletion of users and groups
- Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties
- Ensure that workstation configuration complies with established policies, standards, licensing agreements, and configuration guidelines as they relate to Security Operations
- Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software including procurement where approved
