Dealership IT Specialist

Job Summary:

The Dealership IT Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting the dealership’s technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and dealership management systems (DMS). This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations through effective troubleshooting, system maintenance, and user support, enabling all departments to operate efficiently.

Reports to: Branch Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain computers, servers, network devices, and software applications across the dealership.
• Provide technical support to dealership staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Manage dealership management systems (DMS), CRM platforms, and other automotive-specific software.
• Monitor and maintain network security, data backups, and system updates.
• Coordinate with vendors and external IT service providers for hardware procurement, repairs, and software licenses.
• Train employees in new software, cybersecurity best practices, and IT policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain documentation of IT infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
• Assist in planning and implementing IT upgrades or new technology initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal IT policies.
