Job Purpose:
To design, deploy, configure, and optimize advanced surveillance and security systems, with a primary focus on Dahua technologies. The Senior Surveillance Systems Engineer leads end‑to‑end CCTV and security infrastructure projects, ensuring high‑quality installations, seamless system integration, and reliable performance across IP cameras, NVRs, Video Management Systems (VMS) platforms, access control, and related security solutions.
Key Responsibilities
CCTV & Surveillance Systems (Dahua‑Focused)
- Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Dahua IP cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and HDCVI systems.
- Deep understanding of Dahua VMS platforms (DSS, DMSS, SmartPSS)
- Camera selection, lens types, resolution planning, and field‑of‑view optimization
- Firmware management, device activation, and security hardening
- Integration with third‑party systems when required
Networked Surveillance Infrastructure
- Designing IP‑based surveillance networks
- Understanding of PoE switches, bandwidth planning, and storage calculations
- Working closely with network engineers to ensure stable video transmission
- Knowledge of ONVIF standards and interoperability
Video Storage & Retention Planning
- NVR storage sizing, RAID configurations, retention policies
- NAS/SAN integration for large‑scale deployments
- Backup and redundancy planning
Access Control & Security Systems
- Dahua access control systems
- Time attendance solutions
- Door controllers, card readers, and integration with CCTV
Project Implementation & Site Work
- Conducting site surveys and preparing BoQs
- Camera placement planning, coverage maps, and installation guidelines
- Leading installation teams and ensuring high-quality implementation standards.
- Testing, commissioning, and handover documentation
- Providing L3 support for escalated issues
- Preventive and reactive maintenance planning and response.
Client Interaction & Technical Leadership
- Supporting pre‑sales with technical insights
- Preparing solution designs and technical proposals
- Training clients on system usage
- Acting as a subject‑matter expert for Dahua solutions
