- Ensure that health & safety policies are enforced in all areas of the company and during field operations.
- Identify the potential risks and implement safety measures to prevent their occurrence or mitigate their impact.
- Investigate workplace HSE incidents and complete root cause analysis to determine the appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop the plan of HSE inspection visits, conduct the visits and prepare the needed reports.
- Develop plans for evacuation in emergency situations.
- Form an emergency team trained and familiar with dealing in all emergency cases from all departments (at least one employee from each department).
- Provide a detailed report to HOS regarding accidents/incidents in a timely manner according to the related policies and procedures and recommend solutions for preventing similar incidents in the future.
- Conduct periodic inspection visits to the company’s facilities to ensure a healthy and comfortable work environment and check the readiness of tools related to HSE (alarms, fire extinguishers, etc.).
- Conduct root cause analysis to occurred incidents and recommend actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Research for new safety technologies or procedures to improve workplace safety.
- Research new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry.
- Conduct awareness sessions for employees on health and safety.
- Ensure the availability of safety tools to be used by certain function upon implementing certain tasks.
