We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager / Technical Lead to drive the daily execution of our Health Claim Management Solution. You will lead our remote development team (Syria), acting as the critical bridge between our high-level architectural vision and daily code delivery. While our Product team manages the project timelines and our Principal Architects design the system, you own the code quality, developer velocity, and technical implementation. You will ensure the team writes clean, scalable, and secure code (Java Spring Boot / Python) that meets our strict healthcare compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily technical execution of the Health Claim Management Solution.
- Own the technical implementation and ensure high code quality across the platform.
- Conduct rigorous Code Reviews (Pull Requests) to enforce Clean Code, SOLID principles, and API contract adherence.
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex bugs and integration issues.
- Ensure developers create comprehensive Unit and Integration tests before QA handover.
- Translate high-level architectural designs and database schemas into actionable development tasks.
- Enforce modern microservices practices, event-driven communication (Kafka), and efficient database querying.
- Manage the day-to-day activities and delivery output of the remote development team in Syria.
- Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings and mentor junior and mid-level developers.
- Identify skill gaps and support continuous technical improvement within the team.
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the IT Product team and Scrum Master during Sprint Planning.
- Provide technical estimates and detailed task breakdowns for development activities.
- Work closely with the Senior DevOps Engineer to ensure proper use of CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and Kubernetes environments.
- Ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable software delivery aligned with healthcare compliance standards.
