The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Payments & Product) works closely with the CEO to define and execute the company’s strategic direction, with primary responsibility for payment product strategy, platform performance, regulatory alignment, and customer experience. The role ensures secure, scalable, and compliant payment solutions that drive growth and market leadership.
Act as second-in-command to the CEO and assume leadership responsibilities when required.
Co-lead company strategy, growth plans, and execution priorities.
Translate business objectives into scalable payment and product strategies.
Provide executive-level oversight on performance, risks, and opportunities.
Payment Product Leadership
Own the end-to-end payment product lifecycle (wallets, gateways, APIs, merchant tools).
Define product vision, roadmap, and prioritization across consumer and merchant products.
Lead development of secure, reliable, and high-availability payment platforms.
Drive innovation in payment methods (cards, wallets, QR, transfers, BNPL, etc.).
Oversee product launches, enhancements, and lifecycle optimization.
Technology, Security & Compliance
Partner with Engineering and Security teams to ensure system scalability and resilience.
Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams on regulatory approvals and audits.
Ensure fraud prevention, risk controls, and transaction monitoring are embedded in products.
Commercial & Ecosystem Growth
Support merchant acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies.
Collaborate with Sales and Partnerships on banks, networks, and fintech alliances.
Drive monetization strategies, pricing models, and revenue optimization.
Identify new markets, use cases, and payment products.
Operational & Organizational Leadership
Align Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Customer Support teams.
Define and track KPIs such as transaction volume, success rate, uptime, fraud rate, and revenue.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and investment planning.
