The primary role/function of the position of the Cost Estimating Engineer is to prepare and/or review and endorse cost estimates of different levels of accuracy depending on the maturity of project definition during the various stages of the project life.

Main Responsibility:

1. Ability to prepare multi-disciplinary ( Civil, Architecture , Electrical , Mechanical)   cost estimates study’s for “ Bids / Projects” 
2. Provides cost Estimates / Comparison  costs for the value that provided by the Supply Chain Management
3. To estimate cost for bids/Project for construction , Engineering, Manufacturing.
4. To Collect data and analyzes all project costs, including raw materials ,labor ,equipment and tooling to ensure estimates cost are accurate. 
5. Identifies and quantifies potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs.
6. Updates costs as necessary based on new information and scope potential costs.
7. Updates costs as necessary based on new information and project scope changes.
8. Coordinates with project management , engineering ,procurement and other project stakeholders.
9. Provide support for any selection and optimization study during project development.
10. Perform complete analysis and cost validations using internal and external benchmarking data, historical indices, and component benchmarking.
