Position Objectives:
The Business Process Engineer studies, documents, and redesigns business processes across the organization, identifying inefficiencies and supporting their resolution through automation and digitization. Spanning the full BPM lifecycle from current-state discovery to implementation, the role bridges business units and IT teams to ensure process designs are accurately translated into systems and automation solutions, working under the direction of the Business Excellence Lead.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough discovery sessions with stakeholders to understand current operations, pain points, and process interdependencies.
- Document AS-IS processes accurately using BPMN 2.0 modelling tools, capturing workflows, decision points, and system touchpoints.
- Collect business goals, departmental objectives, and operational needs to formulate the TO-BE process design.
- Perform gap analysis between AS-IS and TO-BE, identifying inefficiencies and providing actionable recommendations.
- Define redesigned process steps, ownership, sequencing, and expected benefits — efficiency gains, cost reduction, and improved customer experience.
- Design and redesign process workflows in BPMN modelling tools with full stakeholder alignment.
- Conduct testing, demonstrations, and iterative refinement cycles until process designs are validated and approved.
- Lead final implementation, coordinating go-live activities, user readiness, and post-implementation review.
- Collaborate with IT teams to translate process designs into system configurations, automation logic, and integration requirements.
- Identify opportunities for automation, RPA, and workflow orchestration and define clear technical requirements.
- Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and OLAs to measure process performance post-implementation.
- Develop SOPs and training materials to support adoption of redesigned processes.
