The Arport Mechanical Systems Manager ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of all mechanical systems and utilities within airport facilities. The role oversees HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, water treatment, and fuel systems, ensuring compliance with international standards, regulatory requirements, and performance targets. The position is key to maintaining operational readiness, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort across all airport assets.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of all mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and water supply systems.
- Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure maximum system uptime, reliability, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Monitor performance of mechanical assets through maintenance management systems (CMMS) and ensure adherence to OEM specifications and SLAs.
- Coordinate with project and engineering teams for upgrades, replacements, and integration of new mechanical installations into existing systems.
- Supervise contractors, service providers, and in-house technicians, ensuring compliance with safety, technical, and environmental standards.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including operation manuals, schematics, and asset performance records.
- Analyze energy consumption and operational data to identify improvement opportunities and implement energy-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO, and local authority requirements).
- Plan and oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems to ensure operational readiness and long-term maintainability.
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance forecasts, and budget plans for spare parts, manpower, and capital replacement works.
