The Airfield Operations Director ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant management of all airfield operations, including airside safety, ground movement coordination, regulatory compliance, and emergency response. The role oversees all daily activities related to aircraft movements, airfield inspections, maintenance coordination, and operational readiness, ensuring alignment with international aviation standards and airport performance objectives.

• Oversee day-to-day airfield operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with ICAO, IATA, and local civil aviation authority regulations.
• Lead airside safety management programs, ensuring adherence to all operational safety protocols and continuous monitoring of airfield conditions.
• Coordinate aircraft movement control with ATC, ground handling, and terminal operations to maintain efficient aircraft flow and minimize delays.
• Supervise airfield inspections, maintenance scheduling, and ensure runways, taxiways, and aprons remain operationally ready at all times.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for airfield operations, including incident reporting, maintenance coordination, and emergency response.
• Ensure effective wildlife hazard management, foreign object debris (FOD) control, and lighting system inspections to maintain operational safety.
• Lead the operational readiness and testing program (ORAT) for new facilities, runways, or systems introduced within the airfield.
• Manage and monitor airfield resource allocation, including manpower, vehicles, and equipment, ensuring optimal utilization and maintenance.
• Coordinate closely with regulatory bodies and airport partners to ensure continuous compliance and readiness for audits and inspections.
• Foster a high-performance culture, mentoring airfield operations managers and teams to uphold safety, efficiency, and service excellence.
