The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting financial reporting and compliance. The role includes supervising accounting activities, preparing financial statements, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and review journal entries and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.
2. Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
4. Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
5. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
6. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies.
7. Coordinate with external auditors and assist during audit processes.
8. Supervise junior accountants and provide guidance when needed.
9. Analyze financial data and prepare management reports for decision-making.
10. Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
