Role Summary:

We are looking for a Principal Backend Engineer who is not just a coder, but a guardian of software craftsmanship. You will lead the backend architecture for our Health Claim Management Solution, enforcing Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles. You will ensure that our Java Spring Boot services are scalable, testable, and strictly aligned with our engineering standards (SOLID, RFC 7807, Testcontainers).
Key Responsibilities:
1.Architecture & Standards Enforcement:
• Own the Clean Architecture implementation, ensuring strict separation between Domain, Application, and Infrastructure layers.
• Enforce SOLID principles and Constructor-Based Dependency Injection across all services.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure no business logic leaks into Controllers or Repositories.
2.Core Development (Hands-on):
• Design and implement complex Domain Services and Use Cases for RCM workflows (Claims Adjudication, Pricing Rules).
• Architect the integration with Vector Databases to support the AI team’s RAG pipelines without coupling the core domain to specific AI implementations.
3.API & Integration Design:
• Define RESTful API contracts using DTOs and ensure strict versioning and backward compatibility.
• Oversee the implementation of RFC 7807 Problem Details for global error handling.
• Lead the integration strategies for KSA (NAPHIES) and UAE (Malaffi) health gateways using standard protocols.
4.Testing Strategy:
• Mandate and maintain a high-coverage testing culture: fast Unit Tests (Mockito) for domain logic and Integration Tests (Testcontainers) for persistence.
5.Mentorship:
• Guide Senior and Junior developers on "The Why" behind our rules (e.g., why we use System.out.println is forbidden, why we prefer Composition over Inheritance).
