Job Summary
The Staff Transportation Team Leader is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily employee transportation operations within the airport or aviation environment. The role ensures safe, timely, and efficient transportation services for airport staff, crew members, and operational personnel while maintaining compliance with safety regulations, operational schedules, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily staff transportation operations, including vehicle dispatch, routing, scheduling, and driver coordination.
- Ensure timely transportation of airport employees, airline crew, and operational staff to and from designated locations.
- Monitor transportation schedules to support 24/7 airport and aviation operations.
- Coordinate with airport departments, airlines, ground handling teams, and HR regarding transportation requirements.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with safety, maintenance, and operational standards.
- Monitor driver attendance, performance, grooming, behavior, and compliance with company policies.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure defects or maintenance issues are reported promptly.
- Ensure compliance with road safety regulations, airport security procedures, and airside driving requirements where applicable.
- Handle transportation-related incidents, delays, complaints, and emergency situations effectively.
- Maintain transportation logs, vehicle records, fuel usage reports, attendance records, and operational documentation.
- Optimize routes and transportation resources to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Monitor contractor transportation services and ensure SLA compliance if outsourced transportation is used.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and operational updates for drivers and transport staff.
- Support implementation of transport-related health, safety, and quality procedures.
- Prepare operational reports and provide updates to management on transportation performance and issues.
