The Senior Maintenance Manager (GM) oversees the maintenance program for assigned area. Assists in the overall administration, management, planning organizing, and staffing of the division/program in the enforcement and implementation of all policies and procedures. Assists in and may oversee new building construction and major remodeling projects. Ensures that jobs are completed efficiently and within regulatory guidelines and projected deadlines.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operation of equipment, machinery, and facilities.
- Oversee the maintenance team, including technicians, contractors, and vendors, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability and lifespan.
- Coordinate with production, operations, and other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks, address urgent issues, and support operational needs.
- Monitor maintenance metrics, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improvement in maintenance processes, resource utilization, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage maintenance budgets, expenditures, and contracts, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and compliance with financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance maintenance efficiency, productivity, and safety.
- Provide technical expertise and support to resolve complex maintenance issues and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term maintenance strategies, capital investment plans, and continuous improvement initiatives to support organizational objectives.
