Job Summary:
The Quality & SMS (Safety Management System) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and safety management systems in compliance with aviation regulations and organizational standards. The role ensures continuous improvement, risk management, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management:
- Develop and implement the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (ICAO, IATA, local authorities)
- Monitor operational processes to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Identify non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across departments
Safety Management System (SMS):
- Establish and manage the SMS framework in line with aviation standards
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks
- Promote a strong safety culture across the organization
- Investigate incidents and ensure proper reporting and follow-up actions
- Maintain safety performance indicators and monitor trends
Compliance & Regulatory:
- Ensure compliance with aviation authority regulations and requirements
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and support external audits and inspections
- Maintain updated documentation, manuals, and procedures
Training & Awareness:
- Conduct quality and safety training programs for employees
- Promote awareness of quality and safety policies
- Ensure staff adherence to safety and compliance requirements
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare audit reports, safety reports, and management reviews
- Track KPIs related to quality, compliance, and safety performance
- Maintain records of audits, incidents, and corrective actions
