Overview

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to lead quality assurance across web, mobile, and backend systems.
You will define testing strategies, drive automation, and ensure high reliability in a microservices-based fintech platform (payments, KYC, AML).

Responsibilities

1. Test Strategy & Planning

• Design and implement a comprehensive QA strategy (manual + automation)
• Create and maintain:
  • Test plans
  • Test cases
  • Test scenarios
• Apply risk-based testing, especially for financial transactions

2. API & Backend Testing

• Test REST and gRPC APIs
• Validate:
  • Authentication (JWT, OAuth)
  • Authorization
  • Data validation
  • Error handling
• Use tools like:
  • Postman
  • Newman / Supertest

3. Automation Testing

• Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks
• Develop:
  • API automation tests
  • End-to-End (E2E) tests
• Work with:
  • Playwright
  • Cypress
  • Selenium

4. Microservices Testing

• Test distributed systems (event-driven architecture)
• Validate:
  • Message queues (Kafka)
  • Data consistency
  • Idempotency
  • Retry mechanisms
• Ensure correctness across service boundaries

5. Performance & Security Testing

• Perform:
  • Load testing
  • Stress testing
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure:
  • Compliance (e.g., PCI-DSS)
  • Secure handling of sensitive data

6. CI/CD Integration

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Enforce quality gates before deployment

7. Bug Tracking & Reporting

• Log, track, and manage defects using:
  • Jira
• Provide clear bug reports with:
  • Reproduction steps
  • Logs / screenshots
  • Severity and impact

8. Collaboration

• Work closely with:
  • Backend engineers (e.g., NestJS)
  • Frontend teams (React)
  • DevOps engineers
• Participate in:
  • Sprint planning
  • Grooming sessions
  • Code reviews
