Job Title: Project Cost Controller

Job Overview

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Cost Controller to join our ELV division. The role is responsible for supporting project cost control, cost center monitoring, budget tracking, resource utilization analysis, and monthly project performance reporting.

 

The ideal candidate should have experience in project-based environments and be able to analyze cost data, identify variances, monitor project profitability, and provide clear reports to support management decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Monitor project budgets, actual costs, committed costs, and cost variances.
• Maintain and track project cost centers.
• Support cost allocation for manpower, expenses, and project-related activities.
• Analyze timesheets, resource utilization, and team productivity.
• Prepare monthly project cost, margin, and performance reports.
• Track direct and indirect project costs.
• Review project expenses and ensure proper allocation.
• Highlight cost overruns, margin risks, abnormal expenses, and productivity gaps.
• Coordinate with project managers, finance, procurement, HR, and operations teams.
• Support department-level cost analysis and profitability reporting.
• Maintain accurate reports and dashboards using accounting systems.

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in project cost control, project control, project accounting, or financial project analysis.
• Experience in contracting, construction, MEP, ELV, automation, or engineering companies is preferred.
• Good understanding of cost centers, budget vs. actual analysis, direct costs, indirect costs, and project margin.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP, accounting software, or Power BI is an advantage.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to identify cost gaps, challenge data accuracy, and prepare clear management reports.
