To support this initiative, we are seeking experienced and passionate professionals to join our team and contribute to building a promising future for Consumer electronics business in the Syrian market.

We are currently seeking a Managing Director for our Consumer Electronics business based in Damascus, Syria.

Job Purpose:

The Managing Director – CE Syria is the full P&L leader responsible for establishing and scaling our manufacturer’s Electronics business across Syria. The MD will drive end-to-end commercial performance, local market growth, supply chain efficiency, and consumer experience. This includes setting the national strategy, managing the manufacturers partnership with HQ, defining channel priorities, and reporting performance to the board.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Market Growth

• Define and execute a multi-year growth strategy for Manufacturer Consumer Electronics in Syria.
• Develop national business plans including product launches, retail expansion, and partner development.
• Lead the translation of regional business objectives into actionable, country-level plans.

Full P&L Ownership

• Manage end-to-end financial performance including revenue, cost of sales, and operating expenses.
• Ensure profitability targets are met while driving market share gains.
• Present monthly, quarterly, and annual performance dashboards to the board.

OEM & Principal Management

• Act as the primary relationship holder with Consumer Electronics Manufacturer HQ and regional OEM stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, trade agreements, and commercial terms.
• Negotiate country-level exclusivity, pricing, rebates, and marketing budgets.

Channel Strategy & Commercial Excellence

• Oversee the development of channel mix: Modern Trade, B2B, E-Commerce, Dealer & Institutional Sales.
• Drive localization of pricing, assortment, and promotion strategies.
• Establish a competitive intelligence function to track market dynamics.

Organization Building & Talent Development

• Build, lead, and mentor the national leadership team across Sales, Supply Chain, Product, Support, and CX.
• Ensure functional alignment and collaboration across teams.
• Implement KPIs and performance management culture across the organization.

Governance & Board Engagement

• Participate in group governance processes including financial approvals, risk reviews, and strategic initiatives.
• Submit monthly performance updates to the Group Executive Committee.
• Support group IPO or JV readiness initiatives as applicable.
