The HR Specialist or Generalist is part of the human resources department and is involved in several aspects related to hiring, training, and support. Their duties include overseeing the onboarding process of new employees, training company employees about corporate policies and procedures, and providing support to the corporate workforce.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee relations
- Manage and monitor performance-related issues and implement changes that could increase productivity
- Using surveys and other methods to keep track of employee morale and reporting all needed information to related parties
- Provide recruiting assistance, candidate screening, and assessment
- Negotiating with unions, governmental entities, and other labor organizations
- Develop policies, processes, and procedures to follow companies lines of business
- Manage the attendance records, salaries & wages, and related processes
- Prepare and maintains employee contracts and other related documents with external parties.
- Handle termination or resignation related matters
- Handle inquiries from employees, and record and investigate complaints when needed
- Develop programs to increase morale, such as bonuses or top performer rewards
- Provide training and support to other team members of the human resources department
- Be well-versed in-laws and regulations regarding labor affairs
