We are looking for a Senior Microsoft Purview DLP Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise data privacy and protection program in a regulated environment.
This role involves hands-on implementation, monitoring, and optimization of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions, working closely with Cybersecurity, GRC, and Compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Microsoft Purview DLP policies across:
- Exchange Online (Email)
- SharePoint & OneDrive
- Microsoft Teams
- Endpoints (Windows devices)
- Perform policy tuning and optimization to reduce false positives
- Monitor DLP alerts, perform incident triage, and support investigations
- Implement data classification, sensitivity labeling, and auto-labeling
- Ensure protection of both:
- Structured data (databases, applications)
- Unstructured data (files, emails, endpoints)
- Collaborate with:
- Cybersecurity & SOC teams
- GRC & Compliance teams
Support:
- Privacy impact assessments (DPIA)
- Regulatory compliance (GDPR / regional laws)
- Data protection best practices (privacy-by-design)
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (DLP & Information Protection)
- Experience in Endpoint DLP, Email DLP, and Cloud DLP (M365)
- Good understanding of:
- Data classification & labeling
- Data protection across enterprise environments
- Experience in incident handling and alert investigation
- Ability to work in regulated environments (telecom / banking / enterprise)
