Summary

Builds, tests, and maintains the infrastructure and tools to allow speedy and effective development of software and code release, while administering the Database (Oracle), and cooperating with product owners, project managers, and developers to guarantee production processes execution and release management.

Responsibilities

• Building and administering development tools and infrastructures.
• Code Release management.
• Monitoring production environment performance, collecting applications behavior information, identifying risks, detecting services disruption, and advising development team with suitable solutions.
• Working with software developers to ensure that development follows established processes, and works as intended.
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against internal and external threats.
• Identifying technical problems and developing resolutions.
• Perform researches and provide read outs to teams on tools and technologies.
• Administering the Database: Installation, Upgrade, Backup execution and testing and archiving, Redundancy Planning, Security Management, Performance monitoring and tuning.
• Refine the back-end organization (database files) and logical design (tablespaces) so that it can be translated into a specific data model.
• Install and test new versions of the database management system (DBMS).
• Write database administration documentation, including data standards, and procedures.
• Carry out capacity planning.
