Position Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our fintech team working on complex financial systems such as digital wallets, payment processing, transaction management, and financial services infrastructure.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services built on microservices architecture, ensuring high performance, security, reliability, and compliance with financial regulations.

This role involves continuous contribution to existing systems, improving ongoing projects, and evolving core financial services rather than building isolated features.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain backend services using NestJS or similar frameworks.
2. Build scalable and resilient microservices-based architecture.
3. Develop and integrate financial systems such as wallets, payments, and transaction processing.
4. Work with event-driven systems using Kafka or other message brokers.
5. Design and implement REST and gRPC APIs for service-to-service communication.
6. Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability of existing financial platforms.
7. Ensure security and protection of sensitive financial and user data.
8. Support compliance requirements including:
   • PCI-DSS
   • AML
   • KYC
9. Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and optimize schema design.
10. Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and frontend teams for stable deployments.
11. Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system stability.
12. Investigate production issues and support system reliability in live environments.
13. Contribute to continuous improvement of legacy systems and existing financial services.
